TGP Winter Series

Season 1

Welcome to club competitions and the TGP Winter Series season 1.

This season will run from October through to end of April.

Each month will host a 18 hole individual competition for a prize donated by the months sponsor.

Members of The Golf Place will gain points from their finishing position towards the order of merit which will consist of 7 events from October to end of April. The winner and runner up of the Order of Merit will win a Voucher equivalent to the entry fees.

How the competition works

Book a time slot under pay and play for the appropriate amount of people. Members Please use the members area as always.
1 person-45 minutes approximately
In the questions please select TGP winter series
£5 Entry fee is to be paid either by cash or bank transfer to be eligible at the start of the round.
Handicaps will start from your england golf handicap and thereafter the trackman handicap you acheive.
If you do not have an england golf handicap you need to play 2 trackman rounds before entering a competition.

Competition rules

Attempts

You will be allowed a maximum of 2 attempts at each competition and your best score will count as your result. a £5 fee must be paid each time.

Handicap

We will be using official England golf handicaps or if you do not have a handicap to be eligible, you must play a minimum of 2 virtual golf rounds to obtain a Trackman handicap.

Your handicap will fluctauate from your England golf handicap by playing trackman virtual golf and this will be used moving forwards

Sign up

Entry fees will be cross checked against trackman sign ups, and those who do not purchase their entry prior to playing will be disqualified.

Dates

You must play your round within the dates stated otherwise your round will not be eligible.

Settings

Each virtual golf competition will have a course and round setup that will be used by everybody. The settings will be released on social media the prior month if people want to practice.

Tees

There will be a variation over different events, but women will play from a course that is 10-15% shorter than men.

Members order of merit

The Order of merit is Open to Members of the club. Points will be awarded based on your finish position against other members within the competition. Head to the membership page if you would like to be involved at battling for season 1 of the TGP Winter series and the prize to go with this.

Putting

This will be set to fixed. This means putts inside 10ft are 1 putts. 10ft-65ft = 2 putts and 65ft+ are 3 putts.
